About

The Repertoire is a brand. It’s made up of more than just clothing. Here you will be able to learn more about me and who I am. The Repertoire is an outlet of my expression consisting of a combination of things. My Grandma K inspired the name growing up and from playing a series of classical piano pieces from my years of lessons. Whenever I learned something new she referenced me “adding to my repertoire”. A special person and special piece of my life is the inspiration to this brand making it special to me. The Repertoire will constantly be updated as new things are added to my collection of things. Hopefully you will be able to find something within T.R. special to you….

If you really thought I was about to sit here and write a whole ‘nother paragraph because thats how the template of this website was made for it to look more professional and filling— then you almost must be as crazy as me. So i’m gonna just write some random stuff that comes to mind.

My favorite quote is by Janelle Monae. I heard her say it at a speech at one of the BET awards some years ago. When she said it I paused the tv and wrote it down because I felt like I needed a “favorite quote”, something meaningful. Okay okay what is the quote? Dang you’re like so impatient g. So it’s “Perfection is often the enemy of greatness. Embrace what makes you unique, even if it makes others uncomfortable”. I’d be lying if I said the quote didn’t inspire me a little bit for my own quote because it does.

Now to explain the meaning of “Embrace the uncomfortable & Walk with purpose”. I live by the idea that you don’t grow in you’re comfort zone. Whenever you feel uncomfortable in an area of your life where you’re struggling or just don’t understand, THAT’S GOOD! Means your learning and growing. This rapper said, “People look at you strange, say you changed. Like you worked that hard to stay the same.” Diamonds don’t form without pressure. Meaningless to say that you gotta go through some stuff, to get to the real stuff. My name means purpose and I’m in my early twenties the time when you find your purpose. I believe in God and his son Jesus Christ. So I believe that he has a purpose for your life and that we should walk in our purpose whatsoever that is. And (even though you don’t start a sentence with and) this is why I created this oh so meaningful quote.

Love this song & her!
